The self-reported status of our forestry graduates, collected at the time of graduation or shortly thereafter, suggests that many began either permanent or temporary employment in the field of forestry (or closely related fields) shortly after graduation.

Continued career tracking indicates that 76% of the people who successfully completed our forestry program between 2011 and 2014 have acquired permanent jobs in the field of forestry or have returned to graduate school to pursue a Master's degree. The jobs obtained include: management forester, land management specialist, urban forester, market analyst, timber production forester, timber procurement forester, and arborist. Graduates have acquired these positions in the Southeast (Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama), as well as Washington State, New York (Manhattan Island), Utah, Maine and elsewhere. Another 17% of the people who successfully completed our forestry program between 2011 and 2014 are employed in fields closely aligned with resource management (Boy Scouts of America, City Leisure Services Department, Country Club, etc.), are currently serving in the military, or are employed in education or other service-related industries.
