Cooperative Education

Cooperative education programs are valuable tools to students who wish to increase their work experience and job opportunities while still enrolled as a student. Coop programs are available with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Geological Survey.

U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service offers several cooperative education programs for students.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The Corps of Engineers hire students for temporary employment opportunities while students are attending the University. The Corps operates numerous campgrounds and picnic areas as well as participates in many natural resources and land management activities. If you are interested in becoming a part of this experience, please visit the US Army Corps of Engineers website.

U.S. Geological Survey, Georgia District

The Georgia District of the USGS is continuously looking for students to participate in Cooperative Education Programs. These programs provide students the necessary work experience for pursuing careers in related environmental fields, while still attending school. The Survey operates an extensive water resources gaging network and several urban water quality projects throughout Georgia. Students interested in enhancing formal education with useful work experience can obtain more information at the following links:
