After more than 90 years, Rayonier is still uncovering new ways to make lives better with our trees, our land, and — our most important resource — our people.

We strive to create an employee experience that makes you proud to be a part of the Rayonier team. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment where you can be who you are and valued for your unique talents and perspectives. Rayonier is big enough to offer you professional growth and development opportunities, yet small enough for you to know every coworker by name. SCOPE OF ROLE:

This role requires a passion for working in the woods and contributing to our mission of growing sustainable forest to support consumer needs while caring for the environment and protecting endangered species. In our forests, you will make decisions not just for today, but decisions that have an impact on future generations. You will be responsible for collecting quality inventory data, as well as sale preparation activities including sale area design, inventory reports and GIS mapping. The data you collect is foundational to our business and has a significant impact on key decisions we make including sustainable yields, harvesting scheduling, timber marketing, silviculture treatments, long-range planning, land sales and acquisitions. The information you gather is also essential to external analysts and investor decisions.

Through this experience you will gain exposure to many different aspects of forestry and have access to the tools, support and development you desire to continue to build upon your knowledge and expertise and advance your career, including mentoring, rotational roles, training opportunities, development exposures and more.

HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED:

Make safety a way of life and commit to “standing in the gap” and fixing it when you see a potential safety risk

Build meaningful relationships and partnerships with contractors, neighboring landowners, our communities and land users

Take ownership of the land you manage and the information you gather with a focus on quality and identifying opportunities for improvements

Collaborate with others and share your viewpoints, ideas and findings to create better outcomes for Rayonier, our customers and communities

Understand your responsibility for environmental stewardship and take careful measures to ensure the long-term sustainability of our forest ecosystems, as well as the wildlife, soils, and water within them

Commit to continuous learning, finding new and more innovative ways of doing things and staying current on state BMPs, SFI principles and technology
