You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, performing essential tasks that contribute to the growth and success of our nursery. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plant Care: o Assist in the planting, pruning, and transplanting of trees and shrubs. o Monitor the health and growth of plants, identifying and addressing any issues promptly. 2. Irrigation and Watering: o Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants. o Monitor moisture levels and adjust watering schedules as needed. 3. Weeding and Pest Control: o Maintain a weed-free environment by regularly weeding and mulching. o Assist in the implementation of pest control measures under supervision. 4. Loading and Unloading: o Safely load and unload plant materials from delivery trucks. o Assist with organizing and moving inventory within the nursery. 5. Equipment Operation: o Operate nursery equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and hand tools safely and efficiently. o Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues. 6. General Maintenance: o Keep the nursery grounds clean and organized. o Perform tasks related to the maintenance of structures and equipment. 7. Compliance and Safety: o Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment. o Follow company policies and procedures regarding plant care and handling.
