Job Description:

Promote the conservation of protected species and habitats through the implementation of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).

Permit scientific research under Section 4(d) and Section 10 of the ESA, work with scientific researchers, and analyze the effects of research on listed species.

Perform ESA Section 7 consultations with federal agencies, work with tribes and state and local agencies, and analyze the effects of actions on listed species to ensure compliance with appropriate statutes.

Provide background research to supervisor as well as review, edit, and provide technical support to supervisor regarding applicable management and policy documents under the ESA and MMPA.

Collaborate in person, on the phone, via email, or virtually with tribes and external agencies and organizations in the recovery of listed species and conduct briefings for agency officials.

 

Salary:
$50.094.00 to $87,723.00 per year
