Job Description:
  • Serve as the Aquaculture Coordinator for the Region, coordinating all regional aquaculture and mariculture program issues. Ensure regional and national aquaculture program goals are achieved.
  • Coordinate regional outreach activities with NMFS Office of Aquaculture and other NMFS offices or science centers as appropriate, which includes meetings with stakeholders and partners, producing reports or publications as needed.
  • Attend and/or facilitate meetings with private, federal, state, local, and tribal entities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of aquaculture permitting processes and public understanding of aquaculture issues.
  • Identify, develop, and distribute NOAA and NMFS reports and other informational materials, publications, and fact sheets related to aquaculture.

  4. Selectee must provide a valid state driver's license & safe driving record.
  • This position requires the operation of a Federal motor vehicle. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a government vehicle in completion of assigned tasks as there is limited public transportation available.
  • A background investigation will be required for this position. Continued employment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

Salary:
$72,553 - $191,900 per year
