Job Description:

Formulates, analyzes, and executes screening, passage or road stream crossing projects related to regional efforts and support programs that promotes conservation and recovery of anadromous species and aquatic habitat for managed fish species. Conducting inspections of fish collection and passage systems or road stream crossings to ensure compliance with design, construction, and operational guidelines.

 

Manages and leads activities associated with measurement of stream flows or collecting on-site information needed to develop functional designs for fish passage facilities, or to evaluate performance of existing facilities. Teach methods of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering calculations required to evaluate water diversion and discharge rates, water storage and management operations and infrastructure designs.

 

Work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders from local, state, federal agencies, tribes, and members of the public, to maintain consistency in hydraulic engineering principles, decisions, and policy recommendations.
