Job Description:

Green Diamond Resource Company is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill this new role of Geospatial Analyst located at our California Timberlands Division. The Geospatial Analyst will help with development, analysis, and reporting for Green Diamond Resource Company’s Habitat Conservation Plans, Safe Harbor Agreement, other landscape agreements and scientific monitoring and research resulting from agency partnerships. This position is critical to the support of planning efforts used by these agreements which includes watershed studies on mass wasting, waste discharge requirements, Total Maximum Daily Loads, and wildlife and fisheries monitoring programs related to conservation planning and project evaluation. This position will help to develop, interpret, and present information supporting both Forestry and Operations as well as Conservation Planning goals at the Division level.

Qualifications:

This position has a progressive career path. It requires a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources with a strong course emphasis in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, and Statistics, or a degree in GIS, statistics, or related field with supporting coursework in natural resources. You should have experience using Python, R, C++, or SQL and experience processing and analyzing LIDAR data, processing Drone imagery, and GPS data collection.
