Job Description:

The following duties are standard presale duties that may change slightly per project:

a. Boundary Designation - Employee will follow boundary marking guidelines to ensure Timber Sale boundary is up to regional standards.

b. Interior Marking: Employee will read and follow signed prescription for each sale they participate in. Marking in correct color and tree designation method.

c. Cruising: Employee will follow regional and prescription standards for cruising, as well as neatly/accurately document data, and monument plots for check cruising purposes. Region 2 qualified cruising certification will be maintained throughout the season.

d. Best Management - All relevant EA documents (Lone Pine & Salter) and GTR 310 will be reviewed and knowledge will be applied when relevant to task at hand

e. Follow regional, district, prescription, and leader’s guidelines in all timber sale prep work.

f. Employee will not hesitate to ask questions when they arise to ensure work is done correctly

g. Employee shall provide technical knowledge and guidance gained though prior experience in all categories of presale preparation including stand delineation, proper boundary implementation, cruising protocol, GTR 310 applications, safety, and general operation procedures

 

 

Qualifications:

For GS3 and GS4 previous experience is preferred but not required. For GS5 position previous experience and/or relevant education can be claimed.

Salary:
28,758 - 36,118 Depending on grade.
