Job Description:

Ferdinand State Forest is a 12,844-acre forest that includes a large lake and two camping areas.  The area surrounding Ferdinand is rich in German heritage and seasonal community festivals.  Activities include boating, camping, fishing, hunting, picnicking, and swimming. As the Forester, you will be responsible for serving in the Division of Forestry within the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), performing technical and professional functions in the area of forest resources and land management. This position assists with trail management and other aspects of property management and serves in a manager capacity in the absence of a manager. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Forest Management, or Environmental Studies.
