Job Description:
  • Responsibilities listed at the GS-07 Level.
  • Collect compartment, stand prescription or presale information data for specified areas selected for cutting.
  • Conduct cruises of timber standards in accordance with agency standards and guidelines.
  • Collects compartment, stand prescription or presale information data for specified areas selected for cutting.
  • Administer assigned timber sales to ensure that all contractual stipulations are carried out by the operator and the organization.
  • Correct improper practices and resolve misunderstandings, complaints, or violations of regulations in accordance with policies or contractual requirements.
  • Prepare timber reports to assist with management of resources
  • Observe and record conditions relating to evidence of overuse/damage of resources in accordance with agency standards
  • Perform assigned phases of special use and minerals management by gathering and integrating data which may be influenced or altered by these activities.
  • Perform studies of habitat conditions for future consideration in forestry activities.
