Job Description:

The Mississippi State College of Forest Resources is seeking a highly motivated forest supervisor with an ability to independently oversee forest operations, management, and sales on nearly 50,000 ac of university owned and managed forest lands.  This position would supervise a second forester, a new forester to be hired in South Mississippi, a heavy equipment operator, and student workers.  They will work closely with the CFR Foundation Officer, CFR facilities and grounds  coordinator, CFR faculty and staff.  The position reports directly to the Dean of CFR.   

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: B.S. degree in forestry from an accredited forestry program.

Experience: Three (3) years of experience similar to duties described above.

Licensure: A valid driver's license.

Substitution: An equivalent combination of related education and related experience may be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Mississippi registered forester.

Certified prescribed burn manager.
