Job Description:

Larson & McGowin, LLC (L&M) is currently accepting applicants for temporary forest internships for the 2024 calendar year. Students seeking a degree in Forestry or related field will find these internships a beneficial “real world” introduction to the practice of Consulting Forestry. These positions will require spending approximately 80% of your time in the field performing a variety of tasks including timber inventory, timber marking, GPS data collection, and timber sale preparation. The remaining 20% of time will be allotted to shadowing other areas of the consulting business. The successful candidate can expect to work in a wide variety of timber types and conditions across the Southeastern U.S. Travel will be required for some projects. Travel-related expenses will be covered or reimbursed.

Qualifications:

• Required

o Applicant should have or be pursuing a degree in Forestry or related field

o Time management skills

o Must be capable of working in remote outdoor locations in various weather and forest conditions

o Ability to operate and communicate as part of a team
