I chose to attend Warnell because…
it is so highly respected among current wildlife biologists. When I was in the 8th grade, I emailed the Founder of the QDMA, Mr. Joe Hamilton. I asked him what steps I needed to take, and what college I needed to attend, to become a wildlife biologist that specialized in white-tailed deer management. Without hesitation, he responded with: “The Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources.”

My favorite places on campus are:
My favorite place on campus is Sanford Stadium. Every time I walk by Sanford Stadium I get chills that remind me of my youth, and how I am accomplishing my dreams to be the first person in my family to attend UGA.

When I have free time, I like to…
hunt. Most weekends during hunting season, you can find me back in my hometown either deer or turkey hunting.

hunter with turkeyThe craziest thing I've done is…
go skiing for the first time. I was scared to death of the ski slopes. But when I got done with the first ski trip, I could confidently ski down the slopes.

My favorite place to study is…
Warnell room 309. Ever since junior year, this has been my go-to study room!

My favorite professor is…
Dr. Michael Chamberlain. I feel like if you were to ask most students that took his wetlands class, he is just a genuine professor that is very knowledgeable able real world scenarios in wildlife management.

The best class I’ve taken in Warnell is…
Dr. Karl Miller’s Habitat class! Take it. It is a lot of information, but you learn so much from the class that is applicable to your time after Warnell.

If I knew I could not fail, I would…
run for President of the United States. I have always loved politics and have been inspired by our nations previous Presidents role in natural resource conservation such as Teddy Roosevelt.

If money was not a consideration, I would love to…
purchase and manage a large tract of land for wildlife.

After graduation, I plan to…
attend graduate school as a Masters student in Warnell.

The one Warnell experience I will always remember was…
the Student Ambassador Retreat. I made so many close friends through student ambassadors. I will always remember going through the obstacle course at Oconee Forest Park as part of the team building exercise.
