Interested in gaining some experience in Trails/Wilderness? The Tiller Ranger District will be filling 3 Summer Internship positions. These positions will provide students with an opportunity to learn what is involved in managing a wide variety of trails and wilderness areas on Federal Lands and to provide work experience. Interns can expect a variety of work tasks including wilderness and trail monitoring, trail clearing and brushing, trail tread-improvements, education in and adherence to Trail Management Objectives (TMOs), data collection, partnership with volunteer organizations, wilderness patrols, regular public interaction, occasional overnight backpacking trips, and trail-sign maintenance.
Starting and ending dates are flexible but must be between the middle of May through the end of September, housing and an expenses reimbursement.
