Biography:

Kristen comes to Warnell after spending five years as communications manager at the UGA College of Education. At Warnell, she oversees the production of The Log, the college's alumni magazine, as well as regular news releases, website updates and social media content. Before working for UGA, Kristen spent more than 15 years in the newspaper industry as an editor, writer, copy editor and designer at newspapers in New York, Massachusetts, California, Florida and Georgia. 

The dozen or so women gathered in the bright, wood-paneled room knew they had big plans in the works. But what they didn’t know was that they were making history.

Outstanding forestry student Robert Seibold may have taken the long road to graduation, but the life experience was worth it

 

This December could take on a new meaning for Robert Seibold, when he plans to graduate with his bachelor’s degree in forestry.

‘A positive effect’

 

It was serendipitous that William Van Devender happened upon the bi-annual Timberland Investment Conference, hosted by the Langdale Center for Forest Business. The chance encounter merged two portions of Van Devender’s life that had always been separate, and changed the course of his professional career.

A Warnell faculty member's work in the emerging field of bioenergy and family forest landowners has been recognized by the Southeastern Society of American Foresters.
