My outreach work at Warnell focuses on wildland fire and community forestry and arboriculture education in Georgia and the southern region. One of my current outreach projects has been the development and delivery of a USDA-NIFA funded project on fire-resistant landscaping, or firescaping.

Chuck is one of the two Co-Directors at the Center for Invasive Species & Ecosystem Health and has a Public Service Faculty appointment split between the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources and the Department of Entomology at the University of Georgia. A native of Tifton, GA, he graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 1997 with an Associate Degree in Computer Science and received a B.S in Computer Science in 1999, from Georgia Southern University. In 2004, he received an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Southwestern State University.
