Optimized Insecticide Dosage for Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Control in Hemlock Trees

Imidacloprid in an insecticide used to suppress hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) populations on hemlock trees.  One application of this insecticide can result in numerous years of HWA control.  Recent research has resulted in new imidacloprid dosage recommendations, which will provide effective control while using less insecticide.  The new recommendations will save both financial and natural resources. Dosage information includes imidacloprid mixing instructions, application directions, dosage recommendations for numerous formulations/application methods, and easy-to-use handouts.
