Fri, 03/30/2018 - 02:34pm - A University of Georgia alumnus wants to help Puerto Rico recover from the devastating hurricane last year—but he needs your help to do it. David Beall, who graduated from UGA’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources with a master’s degree in forest resources in 1993, has started a drive to collect seeds to send to Puerto Rico so residents can start growing food to rebuild its food supply.

Thu, 03/29/2018 - 02:09pm - Kathy Abusow, president and CEO of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, will present a special seminar to the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources on “Why Working Forests Matter.” Abusow’s talk will be held on April 12 during the Warnell School’s honors and awards week, which also coincides with its open house festivities, Warnell Weekend.

Angela Hsiung earned her master’s degree in 2016, and she is now working on her PhD. She’s also a graduate research assistant in the Georgia Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit housed at the Warnell School.
