Job Description:

Fall 2019 semester with possible extension into 2020 spring semester

 

The Greenhouse Assistant serves as the right hand for the Greenhouse Supervisor and will help with every aspect of running our operation.  This includes but is not limited to plant watering, fertilizing, and pest scouting as well as plant propagation and facility monitoring.  

Qualifications:

It’s OK if you’ve never worked in a greenhouse before and it’s OK if you have worked in a greenhouse.  We are looking for someone that will fit in well and meets the following basic qualifications:

 

Is reliable, responsible, flexible, and communicative

Likes cleaning and organizing but doesn’t mind getting dirty in order to clean and organize

Has a Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation

Can work 2-3 mornings a week plus an afternoon too for a total of 12-15 hours/week. Also must work two weekends a month, for about 2 hours on each Saturday and Sunday morning (usually about 8-10AM) of said weekends

Can work in hot and bright environments

Can stand and walk on cement floors throughout your shift

Can lift about 40lbs

Is enrolled at Warnell for the Fall 2019 semester
