Cruise & evaluate standing timber, GPS mapping and maintain GIS database, write forest management plans, assist landowners with site preparation work and reforestation projects, identify and locate property lines, flag timber sales, log roads and Streamside Management Zones, mark timber, conduct timber sales, write and evaluate timber sale contracts, supervise thinning’s, timber harvesting inspections and contractor performance, audit timber sale settlements.
Looking for a responsible, hardworking, highly motivated, self-starter that is willing to learn. Should be well organized with excellent communication and people skills. Have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently in addition to focusing on individual client needs. Capable to work independently or with a team. Writer of descriptive reports and letters. Willing and able to work indoors as well as outdoors during the summer in hot temperatures. Computer and GPS/GIS skills.
