Join our crew and do some good for Pennsylvania's forests. Most days will involve travel to and from the job site in company vehicles departing from either State College, Williamsport, or Wellsboro. The end date can be flexible. Extension beyond September 13th is possible, but not promised. The exact work schedule will depend on weather conditions, but will generally involve 4, 12-hr days per week.
Applicants must be able to work 12+ hours per day and must be able to maintain a positive attitude despite heat, bugs, and hard work. Applicants must have a flexible schedule. The ability to quickly and definitively identify tree species is required. The ability to carry a backpack weighing up to 60 lbs. is required. Previous herbicide application experience is preferred. We are looking for safe, responsible, self-motivated workers who want to gain hands-on experience in forest management. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
