Under general supervision, this position will serve as the north Georgia trout biologist who will oversee, evaluate, and improve the trout management program, among other duties. Those duties will include annual trout stream sampling, administration of the private trout stocking application process, technical assistance regarding trout management and disease control initiatives, serving as this agency's trout expert on interagency initiatives, fish kill investigations, and monitoring and management of sport fisheries in lakes Notterly and Chatuge.
Master of Science degree in Fisheries Management, Fisheries Biology, Fisheries Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
Trout fishery management experience
Coldwater fish culture experience
