Position Description: The student intern will help with forest insect and disease monitoring, which includes some trapping efforts. This position will also assist with mountain pine beetle surveys, produce a "Don't Move Firewood" poster, and review and update pest bulletins.

Applicant must be a full-time student at a college or university. Preference will be given to those with junior standing or above by the end of the Spring 2019 semester, or who are currently enrolled at a technical institute and have completed one year (nine months) by the start of the internship. Preference will be given to South Dakota residents and students of South Dakota institutions.
Specific Forestry courswork, such as dendrology, forest insect and disease, and general forest management is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
