Job Description:

Eastern Forest Consultants-NC LLC (EFC), a North Carolina-based company, is seeking applicants to fill an entry to mid-level forester position at their Christiansburg, Virginia location. This is a labor-intensive field position, and the successful applicant should expect to spend >90% of their time working outdoors. Typical duties include conducting timber inventories, preparing timber sales, planting trees/running planting crews, and applying herbicides. The position may include a heavy amount of out-of-town travel (up to 50%) for which employee will be compensated.

Qualifications:

Applicant should be able to identify eastern tree species. Previous work experience in the forestry profession (especially in regards to spraying herbicides or conducting timber inventories) and/or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in forestry is preferred but not required. The successful applicant must demonstrate an ability to work independently.

Salary:
Starting salary is dependent upon education and experience/qualifications but is expected to be $35-$39k per year.
