F&W Forestry Services, Inc. (F&W) is pleased to share that they have recently established the William “Bill” Miller Memorial Forest Business Fellowship to honor the legacy of Warnell of fellow colleague and Warnell alumnus, Bill Miller.
Bill graduated in Forestry from the University of Georgia in 1970 and spent over 46 years working in the forest industry. Most of his career was spent with Union Camp, International Paper, and F&W Forestry Services where his expertise in wood procurement was well known. Bill also made positive impacts in the forest industry through his leadership and involvement in forest related organizations. He gave much of his time and financial support to help support the Warnell School and Langdale Center for Forest Business. A former key member of the UGA baseball team, Bill was always a big supporter of all things UGA.
In honor of his legacy, this fellowship will be given annually to an outstanding Forest Business Graduate Student who has a strong interest in wood procurement of forest operations.
F&W has a goal to raise $100,000 by August of 2024 to fully fund this endowment, and they are already a third of the way to that goal! Please join us in honoring Bill’s legacy by making your gift or pledge today!
