Online Evaluations Tutorial

Franklin College is hosting and administering the online evaluations for Warnell courses. If you have any trouble with the online evaluation, please contact the Warnell webmaster at webperson@warnell.uga.edu or call 706.542.6056.

Getting Ready

Each semester we have to send a list of courses we want included to Franklin 3 weeks before evaluations begin. This list has to include all sections of a course; cross-listed and split courses are particularly troublesome. For example:

• FORS/WILD3300 - 2 listings: FORS3300 and WILD3300
• FORS/WILD/ECOL3300 - 3 listings: FORS3300, WILD3300, and ECOL3300
• NRRT5900/7900 - 2 listings: NRRT5900 and NRRT7900

If you teach a course in a different school/college and you want Warnell to evaluate the course, you will have to send the course to the Web Developer to be added. The Web Developer will send an email request for these courses to Warnell faculty one month before evaluations begin.

Instructors and TA's

• Log in at https://ssl.franklin.uga.edu/evaluation/instructors/ using your UGA MyID to see the list of classes you're teaching
• Can see details of courses by clicking on Stats link
• Will get a list of students who haven't filled out evaluations via Stats link by each course
• Can get results of evaluations after date grades are due
• Instructor access limitations are to protect confidentiality
• Instructors can not add to or edit available questions
• If a TA is assigned by Warnell (through the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs), they will be evaluated through the online system. If a course has a TA that is not assigned through Warnell, the instructor of the course is responsible for performing the TA evaluation outside of the online system
• The Dean of Academic Affairs will provide instructors with evaluation results

Students

• Log in at eval.franklin.uga.edu using your UGA MyID
• Will see list of all class evaluations that are open and are using the Franklin system, regardless of school/college
• When finish evaluation for one class, will be returned to the main menu where you can continue evaluations for all open courses
• Evaluations for TAs are available through the same menu. It is possible that your TA is not in the online system - if this is the case, contact your instructor

Administrator

• Collects course information for all Warnell instructors, including cross-listed courses
• Opens/closes evaluations
• Enters and edits some of the course/instructor/student information
• Collects data at end of evaluation period and gives to Associate Dean of Academic Affairs
