STUDENT EVENTS

The Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources is one of the smallest schools on campus. This allows us to provide a small school atmosphere within the realm of a large university. A majority of WSFR students are active participants in the WSFR student clubs and organizations while taking part in UGA campus activities and exploring the numerous opportunities that Athens has to offer.

Orientations

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

The second Tuesday after classes begin (Spring & Fall Semesters), incoming professional students attend WSFR’s new student orientation and meet the Dean and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. New professional students learn about WSFR’s academic programs, student organizations, and other opportunities while receiving advice from the Student Organization Presidents and others.

NEW STUDENT LUNCH

Every semester, the WSFR student organizations host a new student lunch in honor of WSFR’s new undergraduate and graduate students. WSFR faculty, staff, current, and new students are invited to attend.
