Warnell School student recruitment increasing

Document Actions
The Warnell School student recruitment team (David Botelho, Emily Saunders and Matt Head) are seeing real success increasing the number of students interested in becoming a professional student in forestry and natural resources.

While updated numbers for the Warnell School will not be available until the third week of next semester when UGA releases them, projections have identified a total of 78-83 pre-professional students as of January 3, 2007.

January 2006: 57 Pre-Prof Students
January 2007: 78-83

During the Fall semester, 11 pre-prof students changed their major to something out of Warnell.  Meanwhile, 28 Students changed their major and became a pre-prof major within Warnell. An additional 16 students will go from being a pre-prof student to a professional student as of Spring semester.

They are also projecting 22 (possibly 23) new professional students for Spring 2007.
