The University of Georgia invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean, Daniel B. Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources.
The Dean serves as the chief administrative and academic officer of the School, reporting to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.

As the chief administrative officer for the academic, research, and service programs of the Daniel B. Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, the Dean is assisted by two associate deans, one for academic affairs and one for research and service.  The position is responsible for budget development and management, fundraising from private sources, property management, programmatic planning, implementation, and assessment.  Additionally, the Dean works collaboratively with other deans on campus-wide initiatives. The Dean also is the administrative technical representative for the McIntire-Stennis Forest Research Program, associate director of the Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service, liaison with the U.S.D.I. Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, and the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center. The Dean has a seat on the Board of Georgia Forestry Association.  Responsibilities also include cooperative relations with the forest resource industries, natural resource agencies, nongovernmental organizations, other educational institutions, and public officials.
