Wildlife Genetics Lab
The Widlife Genetics Lab is a fully-functional molecular genetics lab designed for use with samples collected from various species of mammals, birds, and reptiles. The lab’s projects investigate in a wide range areas from genetic sex-determination to microsatellite marker development.
Projects include:
- Effects of Relatedness on Spatial Distribution of Bobcats
- Social and reproductive systems in a non-migratory, avian species bearing precocial young: an integrative study
- Ecology and Conservation Genetics of Mottled Ducks on Managed Wetlands
- Development of Methods for Monitoring and Assessing Population Status of Black Bears in Central Georgia
