This program serves the forest business community by offering continuing educational opportunities and information through these activities and events.

The Center's service component is focused on five areas:

  • Forest business management lectures - presented by forest business leaders and faculty.
  • Industry/faculty strategic planning forum - an opportunity to discuss issues, education and research priorities, and strategies.
  • Forest business research notes - provide information about ongoing research to the forest business community.
  • Forest business short courses and certificate programs - provide new information, technology and a forum to discuss issues in forest business.
  • Customized educational programs - research and business practices shared with industry, landowners and financial professionals. The Center has been contracted to coordinate implementation of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® Program including: Master Timber Harvester Logger Education Program, Landowner Outreach, Inconsistent Practices Reporting, and Public Outreach
