The Warnell School, UGA Cooperative Extension and The Georgia Forestry Commission are sponsoring a Forestry and Wildlife Field Day at the Georgia Mountain Research & Education Center, Blairsville, GA, on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Forestry and Wildlife Field Day – Union County

The Warnell School, UGA Cooperative Extension and The Georgia Forestry Commission are sponsoring a Forestry and Wildlife Field Day at the Georgia Mountain Research & Education Center, Blairsville, GA, on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Landowners, farmers, producers, other interested citizens are invited to attend and participate in workshops on different aspects of Pine Management for forest products and wildlife. Discussion topics will include:

Food Plots
                                                                        
Prescribed Burning

Mountain Longleaf Pine  

Deer, Bear & Grouse Management                                                                      
Sprayer Calibration

Hardwood Timber Management for Wildlife

 Forestry Issues in North Georgia

This event has a $15.00 Registration Fee per person, which includes refreshments, lunch, transportation, and handouts (Including QDMA book on Food Plots).
